Mikadi Beach Lodge derives its name from the Mikadi Tree which thrives along the beautiful Tanzanian coastline.

Jo (Zimbabwean) & Lucho (Chilean) married and Owner/Managers took over the Lodge in February 2008 and since then have embarked on a complete refurbishment of the place. If you have your heart and soul in a place this emanates to staff and clients alike. We are in love with Mikadi and that shows in everything we do to make your stay with us both enjoyable and memorable.

They say location is everything and we are in the perfect location! We are only 15/20mins from the Zanzibar Ferry so ideally placed for those travellers wanting to visit Zanzibar.

We cater for the Independent Traveller and offer exceptional value for money. All our 12 bandas have been refurbished and have individual fans and full sized mosquito nets. We have a shower block and toilet block which are clean and well maintained. We also really do have piping hot showers! For those of you travelling with your own tents we cater for you also. Our beautiful swimming pool is available when the tide is out and our bar restaurant awaits those glorious sundowners we in Africa are famous for! Try our homemade burgers…..
